Official Cumberland County contacts and record routes
For county jail or sheriff-held records, contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. The official public contact is Sheriff Casey Cox, 90 Justice Center Drive, Crossville, TN 38555, phone (931) 484-6176, email ccso@ccsheriffs.org. The public sources reviewed do not publish separate records-counter hours, so call or use the sheriff’s official contact channel before visiting. Emergencies belong to 911, not email or a web contact form.
The right destination depends on the custody state and record type. The following official routes are the starting points identified for Cumberland County and related state or federal custody systems.
- For a person currently held in county custody, begin with the official CCSO jail roster. The home records hub also explains the roster and the official 24-hour and 72-hour views.
- For a specific county-held booking record or photograph, use Cumberland County’s inspection and duplication request form and direct the request to the sheriff’s Public Records Request Coordinator or responsible custodian.
- For later case events, court dates, or disposition, use the official Cumberland County court-record search. A jail release does not itself establish a court result.
- For a person sentenced to Tennessee correctional custody, search the Tennessee Department of Correction FOIL offender locator. That system is separate from the current Cumberland County roster.
- For a federal inmate, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. It provides custody and status information, not a county booking-photo record.
- For a current or recent immigration detainee, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System, subject to its search requirements and record limits.
- For the sheriff’s public wanted notice and its warrant-check context, use the Most Wanted Fugitives page, then contact the court clerk, attorney, or CCSO as appropriate. Do not approach a wanted person.
